Two Metre Tall Brewery
We are farmers brewing farm ales & ciders in unique batches using farm grown ingredients from our own 580 ha property in the Derwent Valley of Tasmania as well as ingredients sourced directly from farmers across the state. Barrel aging, spontaneous fermentations, experimentation and everything in between. Fruit in ale, sour cherries and more.
The mead production came about when a local beekeeper sought us out as a location in the Derwent Valley of Tasmania to keep some hives. This was a perfect opportunity to use honey from our farm and the journey began. Spontaneously fermented with absolutely nothing added but honey and water, our Sparkling Mead is bottle conditioned. The 2017 sparkling mead is due to be released winter 2020.
